really really glad i decided to do this CIP thing. Andrew and Junyang were the ones who planned this, they asked lewis and lewis asked me! whee! was really really fun though extreeeeemely exhausting!! the amount of energy kids have.. whao! haha! They warmed up to us quite quick.. haha! we were expecting a bunch of quiet, introverted kids from what andrew and junyang told us. hahaha!!
Marian Centre, the place we went, is kinda like a daycare. So parents just drop their kids off in the morning then come pick em up at night. Some of the kids are kinda less fortunate as in they're from broken or dysfunctional families so they actually live at the centre. Like Mrs Chan (our teacher IC) said, it's good that the centre doesn't divide the 2 groups of kids so they don't feel stigmatised. There was one in my group but she was quite nice and all.. yea. Most of them are ok la just sometimes a bit mischievous and loud.
The kids were 6-11 years old? about there.. more younger ones than older ones. some of them were puny i tell you!! like half my size!! hahaahahha!! on the first day i was telling, can't rmb who, that for once i know my group members will be shorter/smaller than me! haha! oh well.. ah!! the kids are all so cute! miss them already..

DAY ONE Icebreakers at Marian Centre. Played Captain's Ball and Frisbee. think that was about it. it was more of getting to know the kids better, playing with them and all.
DAY TWO Picked them up from the centre and took em to RJC (chartered a bus of course). we had station games then watched Narnia in one of the raffles rooms.
we then went back to the centre to have campfire!! was A LOT of impromptu stuff but with kids.. it's ok la.. you know.. hahaha! Mie and I were motivators, as in the ones who had to rah rah the kids. haha! sang some songs.. did some dances. :P we were gonna teach them "Father Abraham" but we weren't very sure of it.. asked them if they knew it and they started singing it on their own so all the group leaders just did the actions and all with them! haha! was quite funny. we did the toilet bowl dance!! something new but really funny!! hahaha! think the kids had alotta fun.. they were laughing and laughing and laughing at almost everything we did. And there was RIPPY THE GATOR! which should be going up on youtube soon! hahahahaha! "respect" to ginwai man! he totally rolled in the mud. hahaha! but the kids loved it! we video-ed the encore which was done on the last day. XD
DAY THREE went to Bishan park (my first ever trip there! heh) on the last day to just run around and have fun. the kids really love catching! we played the normal one and "freeze and melt"/"ice and water" whatever you wanna call it.. haha. just ran around a lot!! hahahaa! first round was all kids against group leaders!! WAHH!! sure die.. and yea we died la of course. :P
final class outing of the year! be there or be square! nah la. just be there k. we'll all have fun! before we officially become the seniors of the school. yea.
